We polled our DJ’s to learn what single item in the category of stage lights would be most beneficial to them?
To summarize, the answers were very consistent and in total, applicable to the same basic concerns. The general consensus was; the product should be;
- Fast and easy to set up.
- Just as easy to take down.
- Safe to handle.
- Convenient to Transport safely.
- Reasonably priced.
The comments also pointed to PAR can spot and flood lights so plentiful in the Industry, suggesting they were the basic and most often, first Lighting Fixtures purchased.
For PAR cans, major concerns were size and shape of the units making them; awkward, difficult to transport safely and bulky. For those who had used or were still using Incandescent Models another serious concern was the danger that someone could be burnt on a hot fixture. I also heard it described as “doing a GIG in a Sauna”.
The last problem was the easiest to resolve. Converting to LED removed all concerns about handling the fixtures. They can be turned on, left on for a long time and they will remain cool to the touch.
Fast and Easy to set up
Setting up a light show goes well beyond simply placing the lights in position or fastening them to a stand and plugging them in. Blown fuses were common and a tangle of extension cords often created a very unsightly image. The “Six Pack To Go” resolves this problem. Each unit plugs in to the one ahead of it in a line or in series and the first unit is plugged into a single 110 volt outlet which may be fused for as little as 15 Amps. No danger of blowing a fuse and no tangle of extension cords and if that is not enough, we have even included 6 ‘C’ clamps in the package. Everything in one tidy package and ready to go.
Just as Easy to take down
Being LED, the fixtures remain cool so they can immediately be placed in protective containers for transport.
Safe to Handle
Being LED, there is little if any chance of personal injury from handling them. The fixtures remain cool and their weight is generally decreased from the weight of the units they replace. Moving the units from indoor to outdoor temperatures has little if any effect on the LEDs.
Convenient to Transport Safely
The size, shape and weight of the fixtures in the ‘Six Pack To Go’ make them very versatile, easy to pack and easy to store.
